Where Are They Now: Steady Mobbin
One of the few groups to release more than one album, this group departed after their 1998 album debuted at #82 on the Billboard 200. Despite leaving, they continued making music, dropping “Crime Buddies” in 2001 and “Espionage” in 2003 before disbanding. Member Billy Bathgate later changed his name to Bavgate and signed with Mac Dre’s Thizz Entertainment. He is still very active, with 30 albums under his belt.
Unfortunately, the latest reports on his partner Crooked Eye don’t look so great. As of 2019, he was allegedly living in a homeless encampment in the Oakland area. While he has an Instagram account, it’s set to private. If anyone can confirm or deny these reports, please share in the comments.
